Have you begun to learn to crochet but could use some help perfecting your current skills, learning new ones? Or maybe you would like to meet others that also have taken up an interest in this wonderful hobby so you can share ideas.
Join Marissa for a Crochet Clinic session! Click the link below to reserve your seat. This will be great; cozy coffee shop setting, private room, over-sized farm table. Think of this as an open clinic where you can choose to work individually or as a group, with Marissa to guide you through your next steps to becoming an awesome crocheter. If you have previously joined Marissa for her Learn to Crochet course, this clinic is a perfect next step! Think of it as a continuation of that class!
Our 3-hour sessions will be located at the Artisan Coffee Shop @ 662 Canton Rd, Akron 44312 (Ellet area). These are individual clinics, each with a $20 fee to reserve your seat.
- Session will take place in their private conference room and there will only be 4 spots available.
- No outside food or drink will be permitted - but you are welcome to purchase anything from the shop for the meet.
- This location is handicap accessible, including marked parking spaces in front of shop. There is lot parking on site, with additional spaces at the lot across the side Street.
- You are expected bring your own hook, yarn & other supplies.
- This class is not a Learn to Crochet Class. So if you are a true newbie, you may want to join one of my upcoming Learn to Crochet classes first.

Bring your hooks and we will provide the yarn & patterns for our yearly Earth Day Workshop. This year, we will be making nest for baby animals and donating them to quill cottage wildlife, a local non-profit wildlife rescue facility.
What a great opportunity to work on your crochet skills & help our orphaned local wildlife at the same time! If you have mastered the single crochet stitch & want to work in the round, this Workshop is for you!

One on One Crochet Private Sessions @ Harps & Thistles Yarn Emporium
In this class, you will be introduced to the wonderful world of CROCHET! You will learn the fundamentals while making a simple washcloth, and then see where we can go from there!
Topics and Techniques:
- The crochet hook and other essential supplies
- Yarn: types and selection
- Making foundation chains, single and double crochet stitches
- How to pick up/drop strands, finishing off & weaving in ends
- Introduction to reading patterns, making swatches and gauging your work
Skills covered: Chain stitch, single, double, triple crochet, and weaving in ends, hook selection, swatching, gauge, abbreviations, intro to how to read a pattern
Materials: 180 yards washable worsted weight cotton yarn, One size H (5.0mm) crochet hook
